Party Like a Rockstar!

Danica was invited to a birthday party for a classmate.  It was held at a local salon and had a pop star theme.  

Danica gets a glitter tattoo on her arm.  She chose a green rainbow. Three weeks later, the tattoo is still there!

She had her picture taken with a cardboard Taylor Swift, the significance of which was completely lost on Danica, since she has no clue who Taylor Swift is :).

After the girls were all fancy with painted nails (Danica chose to skip that part), glitter tattoos, fancy hairstyles that included colorful hair extensions, and decorated microphones, they emerged from the back room and walked down the red carpet in front of the cheering paparazzi (moms snapping pictures with their iPhones).  Again, Danica was a bit confused and terrified by this part of the party.

She did enjoy playing the part of a rockstar, though!

After the party was over, we were heading out to the parking lot when the tornado sirens started going off.  So, along with the remaining party guests, we headed back inside and took shelter in the men's room until it was safe to emerge.  This photo was taken as we were passing time waiting for the rain to let up enough to drive home (the tornado threat had already passed by this point).  What an exciting end to such a fun party!
