Danica had her first encounter with Santa Claus this week. Since she doesn't like to be held by anyone but Mom or Dad right now, I had a feeling she wouldn't like it, but we were at Chick-Fil-A, the photos were free, and there was no line, so I figured it couldn't hurt. Santa was extremely nice. He even came and visited with us a few times while we were eating breakfast to help Danica warm up to him, but alas, his efforts were in vain!
Finally, Santa suggested that I join the picture and hold Danica, but then we couldn't get her to turn toward the camera - she only wanted to look at the guy in the red suit!
Oh well - maybe we'll have better luck next year. I am, however, extremely glad we didn't pay $25 for a photo with the Santa at the mall!
