Lucky Ladd Field Trip

Here are the photos from Danica's class field trip to Lucky Ladd Farm.  It was a cold, muddy, and gloomy day.  Several kids didn't come at all and many kids and parents left within the first hour.  Never one to be easily deterred, Danica toughed it out for the duration of the trip.  When it was over, we were rewarded with a gorgeous sunny afternoon, and, along with one other friend, stayed long after the rest of the school had left.

The Monkey Class

Checking out the animals (from a distance, in Danica's case)

Working on her lassoing skills

I think this was Danica's first real experience with a teeter totter.  She caught on quick and loved it!

Nothing like heavy duty trikes in the mud!

Hannah found plenty of fun things to do, too.

Danica remembered this playhouse from last year and couldn't wait to check it out again.

The pumpkin Danica chose to bring home.

Someone's growing!

And getting goofier, too!

Both girls loved sitting on the tractors.

The corn crib is always a favorite, too.

Racing their critters through the mud.  Actually, Danica raced, Hannah just sat and bounced.  But, she loved it!

Danica chases her friend Colin (the only other holdout from the weather) through the hay maze.

Figuring out a little teamwork to get the swing going.

Danica and Colin

She survived the trek to the top of Pumpkin Peak!

Two very tired girls, who were done having their pictures taken!
