We're desperately trying to get caught up on our blogging around here. I'm not sure how we got so far behind - it's not like we've had anything else going on here or anything! So, in an effort to get more current, I've been lumping a month's worth of photos together in each post. So, here's December:
Every year that we go away for Thanksgiving, we have a tradition of having our own second Thanksgiving a few weeks later. Mostly because we love turkey and want our own batch of leftovers. Here's Danica, waiting to chow down.
Hannah can't wait until she's old enough to enjoy the food, too!
We all attended the Christmas Around the World performance at Danica's school. Her class, the Zoo Crew, represented China.
Danica is on the far right in the second row in this picture. She was probably the loudest and most enthusiastic performer in the whole bunch!
Hannah enjoyed the show, too.
We got to take Titan, the class "pet" home with us for a week and he accompanied us on numerous adventures, including dining out at Marina's.
Dinner was followed by the traditional tree lighting ceremony on the Square. It was unseasonably warm this year, so we didn't even break out the coats until the very end.
A stop by the well on the way back to the car.
An evening stroll with Titan and Hannah
We also made our annual visit to see Santa at Chick-Fil-A. This year, Danica was a bit less terrified. She didn't want to sit on his lap, but she did tell him that she wanted a Pillow Pet for Christmas.
The girls also got to see Miss Patty Cake perform at church. Danica was more than willing to wait in line for 45 minutes to have a chance to talk to Miss Patty Cake, but she did NOT want to have her picture taken with her. Hannah was starving and exhausted by this point!
Titan celebrates Hanukkah at the Wing house.
We introduced Danica to dreidel this year. Apparently she has quite the knack for it, because she killed us all.
Happy Hannah at 5 months
We had our second annual gingerbread house decorating party. The kids really got into it this year.
The best part of the gingerbread house - eating it!
Heading out to church on Christmas Eve
So excited for Christmas!
Putting cookies and milk out for Santa...
...and, of course, some food for the reindeer
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
Danica's, Hannah's, and Danny's stockings were made with love by Grandma Carolyn over the year. Jessica's was made by Granddad Kirk.
Hannah snuggles with her giant stuffed dog, a present from Santa, on Christmas morning.
Danica cuddles with the long-anticipated Pillow Pet. Santa came through for her!
Danica shows off her new winter hat.
Christmas breakfast - Rudolph pancakes with bacon antlers!
Christmas dessert - a birthday cake for Jesus, selected, baked, and decorated by Danica (with a little help on the baking part).
