Today I took Danica to the Earth Day celebration on the Square. She was pretty timid about the whole event at first, but by the end, she didn't want to leave! Free food, fun activities, and music - what's not to love?!?
It was a chilly day, but it's never too cold for a free sno-cone! Danica wasn't too sure about it at first, ...
...but then she decided that she liked it.

One of the coolest freebies at Earth Day were these t-shirts from Nissan. Kids were invited to color the iron-on pictures, then they put them on shirts for us. At first, Danica refused to color, and mommy did most of the coloring for her. She eventually gave in and completed the picture. Then, she insisted that she did NOT want them to put her picture on a shirt. I had them do it anyway. After all that, she carried her shirt around for the next couple of hours, then wore it for the rest of the day. In fact, she is currently sleeping in it, wearing it over her pajamas. Eventually I'm going to have to convince her to let me wash it.
It's really hard to tell in this picture, but she did do a lot of coloring on the shirt.
