Our Little Hippie

Another day of Danica choosing her own outfit, complete with her "orange hippie." Daddy tells her she looks like a hippie when she wears her headbands, so somehow the two terms became interchangeable. And, in case you're wondering, she's holding her butterfly finger puppet in one hand and, true to her Jewish roots, some corned beef in the other. :)

Danica loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders and peek around the corner to surprise Mommy when she's working in the kitchen.

Along with her "hippies," we thought we'd share a few other little Danica-isms and mispronunciations that make us smile:

"ses" (yes)
"lellow" (yellow)
"Cheese-us" (Jesus)
"sheh-sheh" (she sometimes says "thank you" in Chinese - I think this means we've been watching too much Ni Hao Kai-Lan on tv)
"tails" (this one means pigtails, ponytail, or even the rubberband used to create them)
"grapeys" (grapes)
"muk" (milk)
"puppies" (pajamas - some of her pjs have puppies on them, so somehow the term got switched)
"TB" (not to be confused with tuberculosis, this actually refers to television)

There are so many more - we'll have to keep adding to list as they come to us!

I used to say "lellow" for yellow. Look at her. I wonder sometimes how strong the genes are from one generation to another. She is so beautiful and soooo smart. I wanna be like Danica when I grow up.
