Adventures in Agriculture

Danica and Mommy decided to spend the morning today at Adventures in Agriculture, where we learned about how our food makes it from the farm to our table. We visited animals, learned to spin wool, met Smokey the Bear, went on a hayride, and sampled freshly churned butter, chocolate milk, and local honey. Danica's favorite was the preschool area where kids got to gather their own crops and try their hands at milking a (wooden) cow. They took their buckets of produce to the farmers market, then used the money they earned to purchase coloring books. When we got home, she decided she needed to dress as a farmer/cowboy and put on overalls and boots to go with her lasso. Quite an adventure!
