For the past few weeks, if you were to ask Danica how old she was, she would proudly respond, "Two!" And, as of today, she is actually telling the truth! Despite her runny nose, we were able to have a great time celebrating with friends and family at her m&m themed party. It's hard to believe our little girl isn't a baby anymore. She's growing so quickly!
We played an exciting game of Pin the M on the M&M. Kids were spun one time for each year of their age. Jake was pretty dizzy and started off a little off course.
But, he eventually found his target.
Elijah places his M.
And, Wesley puts his M in place.
The Rietz kids work on their m&m art.
Danica and Wesley work on their projects.
Caroline photographs her masterpiece.
Birthday cupcakes
Danica's cupcake. All day long, as she passed them in the kitchen, she kept screaming for "Orange cake! Orange cake!" She did NOT want to wait for her party to have one. But, after we moved the cupcakes out of sight (to the bedroom), she managed to wait until cake time after all. We did make sure we saved an orange one for her, though!
Caroline and Elijah enjoy their cupcakes and ice cream.
Danica digs into her cupcake (this was before it got really messy).
Elijah helps Danica read her birthday card.

Danica opens her gift from her aunt and cousins.

Look at those marvelous M&M cupcakes. How ingenious is that??? Beautiful work. My heart just takes so much joy in that you guys were led to move to Tennessee, where cousins were already established and they have an aunt and family to celebrate with. God is so good. HE knows the end from the beginning and HE knows what will be the most blessing. . .when we follow. PRAISE GOD THAT YOU FOLLOWED.
