Thanksgiving Weekend

We took another road trip to St. Louis for Thanksgiving this year. After Danica was so sick last week, it was a miracle we even made it out the door, but somehow we did it! The road was long, but the destination was worth it!

The Things We Do to Keep Ourselves Entertained on a Long Trip:
Danica inspects her apple carefully.

Danica plays peek-a-boo with a (clean) diaper.

Silly girl!

We finally made it, and Danica enjoyed some time with her cousins before dinner.

The whole gang

Danny's dinner plate :)

On Friday, we all headed to the zoo. Everyone had to get all bundled up.

We think Danica looks like a football player in her gigantic puffy jacket!

Danica checks out the penguin exhibit

A fun ride on the carousel

Trinity & Jake, a couple of goofballs, ride the carousel.

We had lunch at Fitz's, a St. Louis tradition, and watched as they bottled fresh rootbeer.

Trinity gets ready to dig into her root beer float.

Jake and his float. He was the only one to finish his entire float!

Danica enjoyed some rootbeer.

And she LOVED the fried pickles!

On Saturday, we went to visit Chris, Danny's cousin, and her family. Danica was much more cheerful than the last time she met Daniel :).

Danica got to spend some time with Bubbie.

Wow, Danica Joy sure gets around, doesn't she? She hit all the good places on this trip. She sure looks like a cutie patute next to Daniel. If Danny and Chris are cousins, then Danica and Daniel must be second cousins, right? And, little Trinity, she must be Jennifer's new husband's child? What a beautiful family sitting around the table at your dad's place. Thanksgiving, yes, thanksgiving. We are truly blessed.
